Nowitzki has spent his entire 13- season career in Dallas, so it was fitting that he was the one to lead the Mavericks to their first NBA championship. The 11 time all-star scored 27.7 points per game in the post season ( second best in the NBA ) and was named the Finals MVP. Already one of the games top shooters Nowitzki shined in the pressure situations in the playoffs. He missed only 11 of the 186 free throws attempted and averaged a play-off high 9.9 points in the fourth quarter.
